Set the number of characters in a column
=REPT(" ",6-LEN(A1))&A1&REPT(" ",6-LEN(B1))&B1
Regards, Stefi €˛bicheno€¯ ezt Ć*rta: Is it possible to format an Excel column for "fixed number of characters" (including spaces) or something similar so that any entry in the column automatically adopts that number of characters - eg 124 becomes space space space 124 etc etc, & so that when you concatenate 2 adjacent columns, the spaces prior to the numbers in each cell get included in the concatenated cell rather than omitted ? |
