SUMIF is a matematical function for conditional summing of numbers. What you
are looking for is VLOOKUP, which is for finding cell values. =VLOOKUP(A1,C:D,2,FALSE) returns Tina or Dona from column D depending on the value in column A. Regards, Stefi €˛Tee€¯ ezt Ć*rta: Please could someone give me some advice. This is a straightforward 'sumif' formula. I can't seem to get it to return a text value. For example Column A Column B Column C Column D 240770 Sumif(C1:C1000,A1,D1:D1000) 240770 Tina 270770 As above 270770 Dona The formula just brings up a '0' and not the text ie: Tina or Dona Any ideas? |
