Error Message: Cannot empty the Clipboard

When trying to copy a section on an excel spreadsheet that I use all the time
I get an Error Message: Cannot Empty the Clipboard. I went to the Clipboard
under the edit Tool and Cleared All. Nothing has changed. It even comes up
when I go to save the file and then eventually after a few attempts can save
it. This is Excel 2003

Error Message: Cannot empty the Clipboard

The same message box pops up every time I attempt to move the contents of a
cell by hiliting the cell; grabbing an edge; and moving it to a new location.
It's extremely time consuming and frustrating to encounter and dismiss this
message and "Clearing the clipboard" (the solution recommended by Microsoft)
does not relieve the problem.

I am having the same exact problem. I am ready to re-image my pc but I want
to try all other available options first. My Copy & Paste work for a little
while in when I first boot up, but after an hour I start receiving the
message in Excel "Cannot Empty the Clipboard". I still can copy & paste from
Excel into Excel, however, I cannot copy something from Access and Paste in
Excel....Very frustrating. Have been looking online for awhile now looking
for a solution - no luck. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am having the same problem. Since there are so many of us with the same
problem, MS should have a fix for the "common" folk. Please help, I'm dying
here.
