Using named 3-D ranges

1) How do I display the 3-D named range info into one row or column on a new
worksheet?

2) Can I use a named 3-D range as a series for charting?

Thanks

Using named 3-D ranges

This infomation is from the Excel On-line Help

Change the 3-D view of a chart

To make a 3-D chart easier to read, you can change its height and
perspective, depth and width, rotation and elevation, and plotting order of
the data series (data series: Related data points that are plotted in a
chart. Each data series in a chart has a unique color or pattern and is
represented in the chart legend. You can plot one or more data series in a
chart. Pie charts have only one data series.).

What do you want to do?
Change the height and perspective in a 3-D chart

Change the depth and width in a 3-D chart

Change the rotation and elevation in a 3-D chart

Change the plotting order of data series in a 3-D chart

Change the height and perspective in a 3-D chart
On a chart sheet (chart sheet: A sheet in a workbook that contains only a
chart. A chart sheet is beneficial when you want to view a chart or a
PivotChart report separately from worksheet data or a PivotTable report.) or
in an embedded chart (embedded chart: A chart that is placed on a worksheet
rather than on a separate chart sheet. Embedded charts are beneficial when
you want to view or print a chart or a PivotChart report with its source data
or other information in a worksheet.), click the 3-D chart that you want to
change.
On the Chart menu, click 3-D View.
Click the arrow buttons to select the height and perspective options that
you want.
When the Right angle axes check box is cleared, you can set the Perspective
and Height options.

When the Right angle axes check box is selected, you can either set the
Height option or turn the Auto scaling option on.

Note The Perspective option is not available for 3-D bar charts for which
the Right angle axes check box is always selected.

Change the depth and width in a 3-D chart
You can change the chart depth in 3-D charts that have axes (axis: A line
bordering the chart plot area used as a frame of reference for measurement.
The y axis is usually the vertical axis and contains data. The x-axis is
usually the horizontal axis and contains categories.), the gap depth in 3-D
perspective charts, and the gap width in 3-D bar or column charts.

Embedded charts are beneficial when
you want to view or print a chart or a PivotChart report with its source data
or other information in a worksheet.), click the 3-D chart that you want to
change.
On the Format menu, click Selected Data Series.
On the Options tab, select the depth and width options that you want.

Change the rotation and elevation in a 3-D chart
You can change the rotation and elevation to exact measurements in the 3-D
View dialog box, or you can use the mouse to adjust the rotation and
elevation in the chart.

Specify rotation and elevation settings in the 3-D View dialog box
On a chart sheet (chart sheet: A sheet in a workbook that contains only a
chart. A chart sheet is beneficial when you want to view a chart or a
PivotChart report separately from worksheet data or a PivotTable report.) or
in an embedded chart (embedded chart: A chart that is placed on a worksheet
rather than on a separate chart sheet. Embedded charts are beneficial when
you want to view or print a chart or a PivotChart report with its source data
or other information in a worksheet.), click the 3-D chart that you want to
change.
On the Chart menu, click 3-D View.
Click the arrow and rotation buttons to select the rotation and elevation
options that you want.
Change rotation and elevation by using the mouse
On a chart sheet (chart sheet: A sheet in a workbook that contains only a
chart. A chart sheet is beneficial when you want to view a chart or a
PivotChart report separately from worksheet data or a PivotTable report.) or
in an embedded chart (embedded chart: A chart that is placed on a worksheet
rather than on a separate chart sheet. Embedded charts are beneficial when
you want to view or print a chart or a PivotChart report with its source data
or other information in a worksheet.), click the intersection of any two axes
(axis: A line bordering the chart plot area used as a frame of reference for
measurement. The y axis is usually the vertical axis and contains data. The
x-axis is usually the horizontal axis and contains categories.) to select the
corners of the chart.

Drag a corner to adjust the rotation and elevation in the chart.

To view the data markers (data marker: A bar, area, dot, slice, or other
symbol in a chart that represents a single data point or value that
originates from a worksheet cell. Related data markers in a chart constitute
a data series.), hold down CTRL while you drag.

Change the plotting order of data series in a 3-D chart
You can change the plotting order of data series so that large 3-D data
markers (data marker: A bar, area, dot, slice, or other symbol in a chart
that represents a single data point or value that originates from a worksheet
cell. Related data markers in a chart constitute a data series.) do not block
smaller ones.

3-D charts with data series in different orders

On a chart sheet (chart sheet: A sheet in a workbook that contains only a
chart. A chart sheet is beneficial when you want to view a chart or a
PivotChart report separately from worksheet data or a PivotTable report.) or
in an embedded chart (embedded chart: A chart that is placed on a worksheet
rather than on a separate chart sheet. Embedded charts are beneficial when
you want to view or print a chart or a PivotChart report with its source data
or other information in a worksheet.), click the data series that you want to
change.
Note If the chart is a surface chart, you can click a legend key (legend
keys: Symbols in legends that show the patterns and colors assigned to the
data series (or categories) in a chart. Legend keys appear to the left of
legend entries. Formatting a legend key also formats the data marker that's
associated with it.) in the legend (legend: A box that identifies the
patterns or colors that are assigned to the data series or categories in a
chart.).

On the Format menu, click Selected Data Series or Selected Legend Key.
On the Series Order tab, click the series that you want to move in the
Series order box.
To place the series in the order that you want, click Move Up or Move Down.
