Printing Problem In Excel Due to Macro?
I have recently created a simple Macro in MS Word to print 2 copies of
a document from 2 different printers. this Macro works fine and has not had any affect on any other Word operations. However, since this Macro was created printing from Excel has been temperamental. it sometimes prints but more often than not does not print at all. There is not even an error message displayed. I cannot for the life of me think why this might be?! Any suggestions would be most welcome! |
Printing Problem In Excel Due to Macro?
I can't imagine that a macro in MSWord would affect anything in excel--but who
knows for sure??? Are you printing to a network printer? If you are, maybe the printing from excel is working fine, but the network queue is fouled up??? And you're sure that the print job is going to the correct printer (in excel)? Maybe (a completely wild guess) you could just reinstall the printer driver? wrote: I have recently created a simple Macro in MS Word to print 2 copies of a document from 2 different printers. this Macro works fine and has not had any affect on any other Word operations. Yes we are printing to a network printer and it is only certain computers on this network that seem to have a problem in Excel. we have checked all the printer settings etc but nothing has changed since before the macro was created. still stumped! |

Did you try reinstalling the printer driver? After you do that (and test), I'd talk to your IT folks. Maybe they can check to see if the queue is getting the data??? wrote: On Mar 20, 3:13 pm, Dave Peterson wrote: I can't imagine that a macro in MSWord would affect anything in excel--but who knows for sure??? I guess it is a phone call to IT then! ALthough as it doesn't affect printing in any other program i'm not sure they will be able to help? Thanks for trying to help though. |
