Formula becoming text
I suddenly have a problem where I copy a formula into a cell and it
becomes text and not a formula. I tried retyping the formula and no luck it still becomes text. Help! I tried copy paste special formula, and that didn't work. The formula totally worked in the previous cell. Thanks for the help Jim |
Formula becoming text
Format the cell as General first, then paste your formula into the cell.
If the cell already has the correct formula (but seen as a value), then format the cell as General hit F2, then enter. Excel will see it as a formula. wrote: I suddenly have a problem where I copy a formula into a cell and it becomes text and not a formula.
