I do the CACFP claim for my job. I am useing excel 2000 on my computer at
work and at home. Will I be able to use 2007.

The problem may arise when you go back to work.

If you use any of the enhanced formulas (=countifs() for example) or go past row
65536 (xl2007 has 1MB rows) or past column IV (xl2007 has 16k columns), then
you'll have some trouble.

If you forget and save as a xl2007 workbook--instead of xl97-xl2003, then you'll
have trouble.

But if you're a little careful, I bet you won't have any trouble.

Actually, you may find that the interfaces (the ribbon vs the commandbars) is
more irritating until you're used to the ribbon.

I've read a few posts that say that after they learned where things live on the
ribbon, then they don't like using xl2003 (or below).

I don't yet use 2007 but many others do.

See Dave P's response for a pretty good synopsis of what you may expect and
problems that might arise.

You should be able to install the trial along with the 2000 version you now
have.

During the install process you will get the option to overwrite or not.
