Converting date formats
 

I have dates that were sent to me in the European format (22-5-2006) and I
need to convert them to the American format (5-22-2006). How can I do this
without changing each one manually? Thx~

Hi,

active the cells that you want to change, right click on the active cells,
choos format cells, choos the tab "Number", choos costom, enter in the type
textbox: mm-dd-yyy or mm/dd/yyy and then click OK

Data==Text to Columns
Next,Next
Set Column Data format: Date
Set MDY format from drop down
Finish

sorry you have to enter mm-dd-yyyy or mm/dd/yyyy
