entering data into cells

I have a spreadsheet. One cell is comments. The cell is formatted to wrap.
When I enter comments in one of these cells and then save or click in another
cell, the one where I was typeing the comments presents itself with #######
rather than the text. Other comments cells on this spreadsheet appear fine
and work fine. What is wrong with this particular cell?

Thanks for any help you can give me.

Probably the cell is formatted as Text.

Re-format to General.

Excel has problems with Text-formatted cells when character count is 255 to 1024
