I had a user over right a file that she didn't want to and the backups skip
the file how do I get that other file back. |

The file is only going to be available from another backed upsource. Once it was saved what was saved is what there is. There are purchasable programs that will search your hard drive for recently deleted files, but that is very involved to do and you should not have even turned the machine off. Look at the possiblity of other backed up sources. If you don't have a backup, then there's no way of getting the file back.
