Problems with using symbols in excel

Hi

I've entered in a symbol for a chart and all looks fine whilst on
screen but when I print it out, the symbol converts back to alpha
(arial font to be exact).

Please help.

Probably no solution to that - the problem is that the printer doesn't have
the symbol fontset. It simply receives an ASCII value which it interprets in
it's fontset and it's translating it back to a character.

Can your printer handle the font you have chosen ? Perhaps the conversion is
happening there. Can you capture the screen while showing the chart, print
it and check it really is wht you think it is ?
