Entering Variable in a Pivot Table
 

I have several pivot tables that I would like to synchronize with a single
input variable in the "Report Filter" section of the pivot table.

Excel will not allow me to insert a reference nor will it allow me to copy a
value into the drop-down report filter on the pivot table.

I am using Excel 2007.
