imported images in Excel 2007
 

i use excel with many imported images. there are a number of computers that
use office 2003 and a couple that are using the trial version of office 2007.

1. when the files, originally created in 03, are opened in 07 some or all
of the images shift in regards to the position of where they were originally
placed. i have the the default save setting as 97-2003 (.xls).

2. the size of the file created in 07 can be large (3-9MB) even after the
images have been selected to be compressed. when the file is opened on a
computer running 03 the images can be compressed to reduce the total size of
the file considerably.

it is becoming frustrating trying to figure out why the files are so large
and why they wont compress down as much as when using 03. in addition to the
fact that the imported images are always moving around the page. any
comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
