Default Conditional Formatting for Shared Workspaces

I am trying to set up conditional formatting for a shared workbook. After
setting the formatting as I wanted it, I set it to share... It saved as
usual. When I open the workbook again (or any other users open it) and enter
values that fall within the conditional formatting range, the formats do not
change.

I tried to remove sharing so that I could view the conditional formats
again, and I am finding that the conditional format parameters are deleted,
but only in cells where data was entered when it was shared.

Does anyone know why this is happening, and how I might correct it?
