Your right, i didn't not read your post correctly to see you were using an
area graph. You have to plot the zero on this type of graph. to get round this you could use auto filter and select greater than zero then plot from the filtered data. The graph will change back if you remove the filter but you can copy and paste it as an image into word if you need to keep it as a graph of the filtered data -- John MOS Master Instructor Office 2000, 2002 & 2003 Please reply & rate any replies you get Ice Hockey rules (especially the Wightlink Raiders) "Roar" wrote: Thanks, but it seems that these check boxes are inaccessable when chart type Area -- ~roar john skrev: create your chart then go toolsoptions chart tab and change plot empty cell to either not plotted or interpolated -- John MOS Master Instructor Office 2000, 2002 & 2003 Please reply & rate any replies you get Ice Hockey rules (especially the Wightlink Raiders) "Roar" wrote: How do I prevent chart type Area going to zero when cell value is empty og #n/a -- ~roar |

Just found out you can select the chart and shift+edit and you can copy it as
a picture in excel to save you having to paset it into word Just shows you can learn something every day -- John MOS Master Instructor Office 2000, 2002 & 2003 Please reply & rate any replies you get Ice Hockey rules (especially the Wightlink Raiders) "john" wrote: Your right, i didn't not read your post correctly to see you were using an area graph. Thanks again John, but the auto filter only works vertically, and the source
data isn't arranged that way. Even if it did, I think the time scale in X-axis will be hided too, and that is not what I want. ~roar john skrev: Your right, i didn't not read your post correctly to see you were using an area graph. You will have to insert an interpolated value into the cell, or perhaps a
formula which interpolates for you. It could be as simple as a formula that averages the values on either side. In cell D3 this would be: =(C3+E3)/2 - Jon ------- Jon Peltier, Microsoft Excel MVP Tutorials and Custom Solutions http://PeltierTech.com _______ "Roar" wrote in message ...
