Default sum of my formula is 0

I am entering a formula in a cell. (same as I have 100 times)
=SUM(F8+F15+F18+F25+F29+F31)
It keeps coming up 0.
I have tried deleting and reentering by clicking on the cells
I have tried deleting and reentering one cell at a time
I have checked to make sure all the cells are numbers with 2 decimal points.
This happened in another document recently.
Anybody know what the problem is?

Hi,

Hit the F9 key to see what happens. Then check Tools/Options/Calculation and
see if calculation is set to "manual" or "Automatic".
