How to embed a text file into excel spreadsheet?
 

Hi, I need to embed log files into an excel worksheet that I have. I do,
insert, object, create from file then choose the file I want without linking
it. It creates the icon for the file I want but if I double click the file
it opens a blank wordpad file without the data in there. I am not sure why
it is doing this, any ideas? Is there a way I can create this with the data
of my files actually being in there without the link. It is kind of a pain
to go and update each file with the data. Not sure why it is creating blank
files.

I don't know what program your log file is in but can you select all, copy
and then paste it into your worksheet?

Hi Wendy, that would be the long way of doing it and when you have 16 files
to do this for, it gets rather lengthy. Any ideas on why it is not working
the way it is suppose to be?
