Just making trying to categorise my DVD's at home while try to learn
some excel stuff. I figure out how to make a drop downlist through the
data validation, so I got the categories in the list as - horror,
sci-fi, romance, action...etc But I failed to find any tuts on how the
next step in the linking the dropdown to the content.

So can someone tell me what do I need to do next? eg click [horror]
from the list - list of horror films I have. <-how do I do this part?
thanks

I assume that you have a list in a column of all the DVD's. Assume that
this is in Column A

Then in column B there needs to be the corresponding type of film that
you have.
Click at the top of Column B

Then use Data Filter Autofilter

This will list all the film categories that are below

Hope this is what you are looking for
