I cannont find personal.xls. When I open Excel there is no unhide option and
personal.xls is not visible. Can I get this file from somewhere and where do
I save it?

If you have not created one, it does not yet exist.
Record a macro into it
toolsmacroredordin the store macro in, select personal.
Where it is put will depend on your version of excel.
