How can I automatically expand merged cells to fit text in excel
I am working on a template which by nature will require varying amounts of
text to be inputted. I can get the row to automatically expand as long as the cell is singular and not merged with other cells - but in order for the template design to work I have to merge cells together from the same row. I have tried formating the cells to shrink to fir, wrap text etc and I have tried autofit too but this has not worked. Any suggestions? |

You have to adjust that manually (or via a macro).
Jim Rech wrote a macro called AutoFitMergedCellRowHeight that you may like: http://groups.google.com/groups?thre...%40tkmsftngp05 If you're new to macros, you may want to read David McRitchie's intro at: http://www.mvps.org/dmcritchie/excel/getstarted.htm Michelle Bance wrote: I am working on a template which by nature will require varying amounts of text to be inputted.
