Excel 2000 Freezes computer when trying to close
Office 2000 SBA. Computer freezes when trying to close excel. Can open, enter
data, print, and close spread sheet ok. If I try to close program, computer locks up and I have to re-boot to bring it back. Other programs within the Office suite work fine. Removed, re-installed, and all office updates installed, still no help. Running win98 SE, 256MB ram. Program worked fine for many years previously till now. Thought I might have picked up a virus, but a full virus scan turned up nothing. Any help will be appreciated, -- Bob Walters |

Sounds like you have a corrupt file somewhere in Office or Win98. Have you
tried cleaning up your registry and checking your hard drive with something like Norton System Works? "Bob Walters" wrote: Office 2000 SBA. Computer freezes when trying to close excel. This is not a "solution". If you want to avoid the computer freeze, try
using Task Manager to kill the Excel process. -- Gary's Student gsnu200706 "Bob Walters" wrote: Office 2000 SBA. Computer freezes when trying to close excel.
