I copied an entire sheet I had prepared to use it as a template.
When I pasted it to a new blank worksheet the row height on the new sheet is 35.4. Why didn't it copy the original sheet as it was and how do I get the new sheet to look like original? Gatsby (Not the Great) |

I tis a bug in Excel. the easy way of fixing the problem is to do a 2nd copy
and paste as follows: 1) click the gray button on the old worksheet between the column a and row 1 to highlight the entire page. 2) then Perform and copy. 3) Clich the gray button on new sheet 4) Use Paste special (in the edit menu) and select format This will work also in you are selecting a portion of the page. For some reason the regular paste doesn't put the formatt into the new page. "Gatsby" wrote: I copied an entire sheet I had prepared to use it as a template. Thanks for replying Joel.
I noticed after I had posted the question that the original sheet that I had copied changed as well. I could not undo the paste or last actions with 'ctrl+Z'. Had to close Excel and go back to last saved and start again. Does Microsoft know about this problem? Gatsby
Which version of Excel are you using? I know of no bug that increases row height when copying to a new sheet. Are you selecting all cells by CTRL + a and copying to a new sheet? Or right-click on the sheet and "move or copy"...create a copy? Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP On Thu, 15 Feb 2007 12:16:05 -0800, Gatsby wrote: Thanks for replying Joel.
