Spreadsheet says CorruptedCompressedFile characteristics

I am regularly sent Excel spreadsheets but suddenly they are arriving blank
except for the message "FILE DELETED------------The original contents of
HOUNSLOW C'MAS 07.xls have been replaced with this message because of its
CorruptedCompressedFile characteristics." Help! Thanks.
