I'm frustrated with a pivot table. I have two situations, that are
contected in a way. I have a pivot table that is getting it's data from Access query. The Access table is getting it's data from a sql server. In Access I look at the results of the query (whiich is running from Q4 2006 data) and I see records for that entire month of Dec 2006, as it should be. When I pull the date field onto the pivot table in excel, the drop down shows only dates up to 12/15/06, not to the end of the month. I've tried refreshing the data, removing data fields and adding them back in, nothing seems to work. Any ideas on what is going on? Because of this problem, I thought I would 'recreate' the pivot table from a new excel sheet. Now after I've gottne the 'get data' and field list in Excel, when I drag a field to the 'row' section nothing happens. No error messages, nothing. Any ideas on what is going on with my pivs? Thanks.... |

How are you getting the data from Access to Excel?

One thing that has worked for me in the past is getting it into Excel into a
table and then running the pivot table off that table. Maybe that would resolve the issue?
