Tab to the next row down
When I use the TAB key to move between the unlocked cells on a protected, worksheet, for some reason, when I get to the end of some rows, the cursor returns to the home cell on that row, not to the next row down. Is this because some cells on these rows are merged...if so, how can I keep those cells merged (to have ample space for user to input their data) and still TAB left-to-right-then-down to unprotected cells?? Tab to the next row down
Leandro,
It's normal for the Enter key to move you down and back to the start (left) of the row. Unless you're entering a formula, you can use the Down key instead of the Enter key. -- Earl Kiosterud www.smokeylake.com ----------------------------------------------------------------------- "Leandro Sesarego" wrote in message ... Tab to the next row down
I'm not using the Enter key. I'm using the Tab key. When I get to the end of
a row, the cursor returns to the home cell on that row. I want it to go to the next row down. -- Leo "Earl Kiosterud" wrote: Leandro, It's normal for the Enter key to move you down and back to the start (left) of the row. Tab to the next row down
Leandro,
OK. Tab key only. One possibility is that the worksheet is protected, and it's run out of unlocked cells as you tab. However, it will go to the beginning of the next row, not the same row. You were pretty clear about its going to the left of the same row. Or if the scroll range has been set, and you're tabbing beyond the edge of it. It will still drop to the next row as well as go back to the far left. The scroll range is set in a macro. Are there any macros in the workbook? -- Earl Kiosterud www.smokeylake.com ----------------------------------------------------------------------- "Leandro Sesarego" wrote in message ...
