Workbook running VERY slow
I have developed a basic worksheet that doesn;t contain too many formulas and
is around 15,000kb in size. Everytime I try and copy a formula the workbook runs extremely slow and it says 'Calculating Cells' in the bottom left of the screen- this can take up to 30-40 seconds to populate 4-5 cells. Is this to be expected if there are a few formulas or is there anything I can do?? Cheers, |
Workbook running VERY slow
Two points:
1) How much RAM you have available to Excel can either help or hinder performance. 2) See this for some info on how Excel calculates: http://www.decisionmodels.com/calcsecrets.htm If you have questions about specific formulas you're using, post back. Dave -- A hint to posters: Specific, detailed questions are more likely to be answered than questions that provide no detail about your problem.
