Close Windows Media Player
I'm using Excel to randomly play various music files and then generate a
question about the song being played to quiz the student of his knowledge of the music. I'm using Shell to open Media Player and play an mp3 file. I'm trying to stop the music after the student answers the question so I can generate the next question (not always a question with a audio). I'd like to either close Media Player or stop the song. I've searched vba help and this thread unsuccesfully. Any ideas? Thanks -- Cordell |
Close Windows Media Player
Cordell,
I have a "Juke Box" Excel program I use to play mp3's in live music gigs. I shell to WinAmp with the name of the mp3 to play. To stop it, I send it a very short mp3 of silence by shelling to WinAmp again. Might work with Media Player too. WinAmp even dutifully does a quick fade. Nice. You're welcome to look at it. It's at http://www.smokeylake.com/excel/juke_box.htm. It's not very pretty. I developed it as an experiment, and it worked so well right off I started using it on gigs over a year ago, but never really cleaned it up. -- Earl Kiosterud www.smokeylake.com ----------------------------------------------------------------------- "Cordell" wrote in message ...
