WHAT ARE THE CAUSES FOR 'EXCEPTION ERROR '

Dear Programmers

In one of the programs I am doing I suddenly get this 'EXCEPTION
ERROR; and the excel sheet gets locked and have to use CAD. ctrl+alt
+del).

Specifically it was happening when I was selecting multiselct names in
a listbox.
