i need to import a huge txt file into excel
 
i need to import a hug txt file into excel but failed because insufficient
rows. is there anyway i could increase rows without using access?

no, apart from upgrading to Excel 2007

search group for some previous answers on this I think there are was to
"read"
the file in several stages

Of course the right answer shoudl have been - use access

I have extensive notes and lots of example code at

It will handle importing files of any size, splitting the data across as
many worksheets as necessary.
