Hi,im new to Excel,so could do with some help,if i have a column,say A:A200
is it posible to flip the contents of the cells,so that if A1=1 then A2=2
down to A200=200 the result would be that A1 would have the contents of A200
or A1=200 then A2=199 and so on?

Help apprieciated,thanks.

If your data values are in ascending order, then Data/ Sort/ Descending
If not in order, add a helper column with ascending values, & sort by that
descending.

Direct Data Sort may suffice

Select A1:A200
Click Data Sort Descending OK

Scooter,

If the numbers are already ascending, you could sort the column in
descending order. If there are adjacent columns that should go with the
values in this one, sort the whole table on the column. If you don't know
how to sort with Excel, be very careful -- it will gladly mess stuff up. If
the original numbers are not in order, and you still want to reverse the
order, make a copy of the column somewhere, and put 1, 2, 3, etc. in an
adjacent helper column. To do that, put 1 in the top cell, then 2. Then
select both cells and drag the fill handle down. Now sort this table (both
columns) on the helper column, descending.
