import external data sql case statement
i have a sql query with a complex CASE statement that returns the results i
want in Query Analyzer. however, when i use the script to import into excel the ELSE elements of the results are blank. interestingly, if i put the script into a stored procedure all the results (including the ELSEs) come into excel ok. anyone seen this? know the reason? obviously the stored procedure is my workaround, but was wondering if there is another. thanks, burke |
