Help With A Formula That Sums Items In A Column
 

Column W9 to W60 has different reference codes in different rows.
For example: W9 AO, W10 AX, W11 A1.......W60 AO.

How do I sum the number of say, AO's in Column W9 to W60 inclusive?

It's a formula I need.
