How do I stop Hexadecimal being converted wrongly to scientific?

I often need to import strings of delimited hexadecimal numbers into Excel
however I am frustrated by EXCEL treating a hex number 1E4 into 10,000 (ie 1
times 10 to the power 4).

How can I stop this ???

Thanks in advance

Steve

Change your default column format of HEX data to text.
You can do it by Style in format menu. Change it form Genetal to Text. Was
this helpful?
