Can't send attachment as Email from Excel 2007

When I try to attach the spreadsheet as email attachment, I get an error
"General mail failure", please restart your mail server and try again? Any
ideas?

I can however, go into Outlook 2007 and attach the xls document and send it
that way. We are using Exchange 2003.

I have the same problem. I haven't found a solution yet but if I do, I will
post.

Open Outlook and run Office diagnostics. I did and the problem is fixed.
Although, the forum that i found this on said that it worked for a short time
and then stopped working again.

I also found that it could be capatibility issue with older versions of
office. for instance, if you are using an access database 97 it could
conflict with 2007.

hope this helps.
