Default Change the length of the dropdown list used to cell entries

I have a length list of possible entries that I linked to a cell using
DataValidation. However, the default size of the dropdown list only shows 6
entries, and I have to use the scrollbar to get to the rest. How do I change
this length so that more of my list entries appear? Thank you.

Default Change the length of the dropdown list used to cell entries

Hi Anastasia

The default length of the dropdown is 8 lines, and that is fixed.
The only way to change the length of the list, is to use a Combo box
instead.
Debra Dalgleish has information on how to do this at
http://www.contextures.com/xlDataVal10.html

Alternatively, you can use a technique to jump to part of the dropdown
list than you want with a method also available as a downloadable file
at Debra's site

Dabra Dalgleish has great info on DV lists.

Using Zoom to make the list appear larger.

Using a ComboBox with list instead of a DV list

Note the combobox has customizable features which the regular DV dropdown does
not have.

I'm with Roger and Gord on this one - Debra's site is the place to go for
this kind of thing. I've successfully used her combination of a data
validated list with a combo box to overcome problems where the user needed
larger text in the list and wanted the ability to 'auto-complete' entries.

Look at the "D" list on this page
http://www.contextures.com/tiptech.html
I think what you may want is either
Data Validation - Combo Box
or
Data Validation - Combo Box Named Range
in the list.
