Which version of Excel?
For 2002 and newer you can select from the Options to look in "Workbook" Older versions you had to first select all the sheets into a group" then editreplace. Note: in Excel 97 editfind did not work with grouped sheets but editreplace did.......strange but a fact. try this it is useful for u and easy also !
