Cells Fixed height and width
I want to be able to create a table that has "fill in the blank" cells with
permanent width and height (Form). The problem I am having is that I copied and pasted it in MS Word and everytime you fill out any of the requested info, the whole table moves changing the width and height of the cells. I want to be able to lock some cells and allow users to fill in the information I am asking for but want the margins and cell dimensions to remain at the original size. Example. In one cell I ask for the Designer's name (Designer:) When I protect the document the users should be able to enter their names and if the name is too long the text should shrink to fit the text, but it doesn't and it disarranges the other cells and changes the height and width of the cell where you typing the designer's name. Sorry for the long question. Just want to be able to create a form in excel that remains with the original dimensions whenever you "fill in the blanks". |

Not sure if you want the form in Excel or Word. They are different animals
when it comes to forms. If you want it in Word, create a table that has one cell for the word Name, and another cell for the fill-in. That will prevent the cell drift. When I design forms, I keep them in their Excel format - far better results than a Word form.
