When copying formula down it puts in a day of the week
 
When copying formula down (when there is no date yet) it puts in a day of the
week when it should acutally should be blank. here is the formula used

TEXT(C8,"dddd")

0 equates to Saturday!

Try this:

=IF(C8="","",TEXT(C8,"dddd"))
