Excel 2007 problems with slow save
 

When using spreadsheet with a lot of links to other spreadsheets the save
takes a very long time (much longer than with the same spreadsheets in excel
2003) in some cases the only option is to close the programme before the save
completes (we have waited up to 60 minutes before resorting to this)
therefore losing any changes made. Has anybody had the same problem and found
the reason for it?
The files are stored on a network drive rather than on the PC hard drive.
