Find and replace in excel
You should just be able to do Replace, put the space or nothing in the
replace box, then press select all. this should remove the find criteria directly above with either nothing of the space. "ChrisB" wrote: when I try a find a replace, it finds everything fine, but when I try to replace with nothing (or a blank space) it will not work, any suggestions ? |
Find and replace in excel
"select all" im assuming you mean replace all? I do replace all, and
get this error with Excel: "Microsoft Office Excel cannot find any data to replace. Check if your search formatting and criteria are defined correctly. If you are sure that matching data exists in this workbook, it may be on a protected sheet. Excel cannot replace data on a protected worksheet." Now I am positive it found data, it found about 1672 cells. Im not so sure as to what a protected worksheet is, but this is the error coming across, any ideas? thanks in advance everyone! |

Try highlighting the colmn(s) that you are doing your find on. It could be
that you have a single cell selected, and the find is only looking in that cell for the value. "ChrisB" wrote: Update: I am NOT working with a protected worksheet. |
