Auto fill
I already have an exsisting sequence in a worksheet. I now need to
expand the sequence. When I pull down on the fill handle the sequence continues by 1's and not 10's as it should. Any suggestions. |

Select the last two cells in your list before using the fill handle. Excel
should then recognize the pattern of increasing by 10 and autofill accordingly. -- Elisabeth " wrote: I already have an exsisting sequence in a worksheet. I now need to expand the sequence. Make sure you have at least 2 or 3 numbers of your sequence selected before
you use the pull-down. If you have 10, then drag, it will go by one. If you have 10 and 20 and 30 selected, then drag down, it will fill in tens. Assuming you have
ABC10 ABC20 ABC30 Select at least two of the cells before dragging. Gord Dibben MS Excel MVP On 16 Jan 2007 13:30:43 -0800, wrote: I already have an exsisting sequence in a worksheet. Your example is the type of sequence that I have and I have done what
you suggested, but it still counts by ones's. Gord Dibben wrote: Assuming you have ABC10 ABC20 ABC30 Select at least two of the cells before dragging.
