Excell 2000

Hello,
Hope you may help me,
The problem happens when I have just saved the Excel workbook and shut down,
other analysts then try to open the workbook (within a few second of me
closing) and they get an error message stating that I am still accessing the
workbook and so they get a read only version (notify or read only).
This persists even when they have closed and reopened the spreadsheet during
which time I have closed my PC. It appears as through the editing lock does
not release the spreadsheet.

To resolve my PC needs to be shut down overnight and when I reboot it
becomes editable again.

Many thanks for your any tips,

Trevor

It sounds to me more like an MIS "rights" problem to all the files in that
directory, rather than an Excel problem......try some experiments with other
files under the same directory/computer/etc.......
