How do I change the default value in the text box to always be Size 8 , bold?

I think you'll find that the default is the same as for the whole
application, set (in XL2003) under Tools Options General Standard
font.

I tried that and it did not work. Do you have any other ways of making the
text box on the drawing tool bar default to size 8 and bold.
