how do I get grid lines over the entire page?
When I open a new worksheet in an old file, it comes up without gridlines,
even thought the gridlines option is checked. When I click on the gridlines option it only puts grid lines on data that was copied from another area on the spreadsheet. |

Sounds like you have borders that are the same as the back ground color or there is a fill color in the cell. Select three or four cells in the problem area and goto formatcellborders and clear any that might be there, and do the same thing with any fill in the "patterns" tab. Could be that the cells are colored white which hides the gridlines. Select all cells and FormatCellsPatternsNo Color.
