Slow Calculations with No Data
 

I have a user with a 40 MG spreadsheet with lots of calculations. At the end
of the year, I clean out the data for her and she starts with a clean slate.
She is complaining that even though there is no data to calculate anymore, it
is taking 5 minutes to calculate when she is saving.

She and I remember this problem last year and somebody (who is no longer
here) did something to "compress" the data. Any idea what that could have
been?

Another possibility... if you are deleting all old data, delete the cells,
rows, columns using Edit/Delete, then go to cell A1 of your spreadsheet and
save. This will shrink your worksheet to fit the existing data...
