Users stuck, not logging out of shared workbook
We have a shared workbook has been acting up lately. It is used primarily by
2 users. When we went to tools/sharing and looked at who was logged in there were 7 entries. 2 were from the current day but the other so-called "users" were all of one particular user with dates ranging from a week old to 3 months old...inactive sessions that excel thinks are current sessions/log ins. What would that user be doing wrong to be prevented from logging out of the workbook properly? Why does this spreadsheet think this user is logged in when clearly he is not? Is this a common excel shared workbook problem? Is it O.K. to remove the stuck sessions / logins and if so will removing them have any affect on the database? |

I can;t answer the why part, but I can assure you that removing the old
sessions will not harm the program. I have had that issue myself before. "Peter" wrote: We have a shared workbook has been acting up lately. It is used primarily by 2 users.
