From Microsoft Help:
Obtain the Microsoft Office 2000 MultiLanguage Pack and install it. On the Windows Start menu, point to Programs, point to Office Tools, and then click Microsoft Office Language Settings. On the User Interface tab, click the language you want in the Display menus and dialog boxes in list. "glennnnm" wrote: How can I access Spanish font characters in Excel? You could pick them up from charmap.exe (Start Run and type charmap) or use Alt+0241 for ñ, 0209 for Ñ, 0161 for ¡ and 0191 for ¿ (using the numeric keypad). |

Try ALT + 0192 through 0255(on the numpad) to get accented letters.
Open the Charmap to see which ones you want. ALT + 0242 or 0243 will get you an accented o.
