how to fill alphabets in a series like abcd insted of 1234
If you only want to fill in a repeating series of the letters A through Z
Try this: Enter A through Z in cells A1:A26 Select that range Then...from the Excel main menu: <tools<options<custom lists tab Click the [Import] button That will add the list to the Custom Lists available Now you can put any letter in a cell and drag the fill handle to extend the list. Does that help? *********** Regards, Ron XL2002, WinXP "abhijit date" wrote: Please help in filling the data in a series as alphabets insted of numbers. Thanks Abhijit |
