Writing new macro in Excel 2007
I can write a new macro but I want to record it and then assign an icon to it
to run from the ribbon. I did it in Beta but cannot remember now or figure it out. Any help would be nice. Thanks -- Christopher |

I think I found it. My old macros are in the ribbon.
Right click the Ribbon... "Customize the Quick Access Toolbar"- Choose "Macros" from the "Choose commands from"- Move it over to the Ribbon Click on Modify Assign an icon Done! Glad you found it. The terminology for this area is the QAT (qwat) Quick Access Toolbar and it is not part of the ribbon, which is the major UI, it's something like an old command bar, where common functions to you, any you can't find or macro buttons can be placed -- HTH Nick Hodge Microsoft MVP - Excel Southampton, England DTHIS www.nickhodge.co.uk "Christopher" wrote in message ...
