How to paste Urdu text into Excel (English(US) Windows2000,Excel 2
 

I need to copy Urdu text from a pdf into Excel. I dont need to edit the text,
just paste into excel. (I am going to import the urdu text into SQL Server
2005)

Open the document with Acrobat Reader and use the SELECT tool to choose and
copy the text. Then simply paste into Excel. This may not work if who ever
created the .pdf file placed restrictions on the file prohibiting copying.

Of course I make no promises on how it's going to look. There are Urdu text
converters and translaters available - do a search for "Urdu text" and you'll
turn up some - including one site that directs you to the Urdu fontset for
download if you don't have it..
